RESOLUTION NO. 10,954
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION TO
THE CONTRACT WITH TWO ORGANIZATIONS TO
PROVIDE NEIGHBORHOOD SUPPORT CENTER
SERVICES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to prevention, intervention and
treatment programs to enhance public safety, community- building, and youth development; and,
WHEREAS, the current contract with BCD (Black Community Developers) and Step Up
Support Center has an option for two additional one -year extensions based on their performance
and Little Rock Board of Directors appropriations:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contracts with the following
organizations to provide neighborhood support center services to Little Rock residents 18 years
and older:
Operations
Program Budget
Black Community Developers (BCD) - Midtown $ 170,000.00
Step Up Support Center - Southwest 159,974.39
TOTAL $ 329,974.39
SECTION 2. The contract's terms shall be for one year, from January 1, 2001 to
December 31, 2001, and may be extended for one additional one -year term upon satisfactory
performance and mutual agreement of the parties.
SECTION 3. Funding for these programs is from FUTURE- Little Rock tax revenue
specified for prevention and intervention programs.
SECTION 4. Any contract entered into prior to the passage of the City Budget
Ordinance for the Year 2001 shall contain a non - appropriation clause.
