PROVIDE 6 EXPANDED CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR 7 WELFARE TO WORK ELIGIBLE RESIDENTS IN 8 NORTH LITTLE ROCK, JACKSONVILLE AND 9 UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF PULASKI COUNTY; 10 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Labor ( "DOL ") Welfare -to -Work 13 competitive grant enables the City to provide services to Pulaski County residents as a 14 part of this program, and 15 WHEREAS, the City has developed a Corrective Action Plan in conjunction 16 with the DOL in order to increase enrollment and expenditure levels in the program, 17 and 18 WHEREAS, to fulfill these obligations, the City needs the assistance of an 19 expanded case management service and, after a competitive selection process, selected 20 Central Arkansas Planning and Development District, Inc., to fulfill this role, 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 22 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement, in a form 24 acceptable to the City Attorney, with the Central Arkansas Planning and Development District, 25 Inc., to provide expanded case management services to the DOL Welfare to Work program for 26 eligible residents within Pulaski County, Arkansas. 27 Section 2. The remuneration pursuant to this agreement, which shall be in effect for 28 not more than eleven months, shall be in an amount not to exceed eighty seven thousand three 29 hundred and sixty-one dollars ($87,361). 0 0 1 Section 3. Funding for this agreement is available from the DOL Welfare to Work 2 competitive grant in Account No. WTOW ADM A119. 3 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, subtitle, chapter, subchapter, section, 4 subsection, subdivision, paragraph, subparagraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this 5 resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 6 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full 7 force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 8 originally a part of the resolution. 9 Section 5. Repealer.
