2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
3 PURCHASE TWO READY LOAD REFUSE TRUCKS FOR THE PUBLIC
4 WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
5 WHEREAS, after a competitive bid process which attracted sixteen (I6) bids, it was
6 determined that Sterling Trucks of Arkansas, Inc., was the lowest responsible and responsible
7 bidder of two 25 -cubic yard high compaction refuse collection trucks ( "refuse trucks "),
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
9 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
10 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase two refuse trucks in accordance
11 with Bid No. 00250 in an amount not to exceed one hundred eighty eight thousand two
12 hundred and ninety two dollars ($188,292) combined from Sterling Trucks of Arkansas, Inc.
13 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in Account No. 603 - 220 - 2110- 7060 -10.
14 Section 2. Severability. In the event any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph,
15 subparagraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged
16 to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
17 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared
18 or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
19 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
20 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such
21 inconsistency.
