PATTON CONTRACTOR, INC., TO 5 DEMOLISH THE CONSOLIDATED PIPE & SUPPLY 6 BUILDING AT 1300 EAST SECOND STREET; AND FOR 7 OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, the City wishes to demolish structures in the area that will become the 10 William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Park so that the preparation of these urban park lands 11 can occur, and 12 WHEREAS, one of these buildings is the Consolidated Pipe & Supply Building at 1300 13 East Second Street, and 14 WHEREAS, after a competitive bid process it was determined that Jimmy A. Patton 15 Contractor, Inc., submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid, 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Jimmy A 19 Patton Contractor, Inc. to demolish the Consolidated Pipe & Supply Building located at 1300 20 East Second Street, an area that is to be part of the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Park. 21 Section 2. The amount of this contract is not to exceed one hundred and five thousand 22 dollars ($105,000), provided that the amount may be increased to one hundred and twenty 23 thousand dollars ($120,000) if appropriate unforeseen situations develop during the demolition 24 and the City needs to move forward. 25 Section 3. Funds for this contract are available in Account No. 305- 214 -A105. 26 Section 4. Severability. In the event section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, 27 subparagraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged 28 to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining 29 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared 30 or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 0 1 0 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
