RESOLUTION NO. 10, 815 -A
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS WITH
FIVE ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE CITYWIDE
YOUTH PREVENTION PROGRAMS IN LITTLE ROCK.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has been committed to prevention, intervention and
treatment programs to enhance public safety, community- building, and youth development; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock released a Request for Proposal to obtain
organizations to provide citywide youth prevention programs for Little Rock residents; and,
WHEREAS, a five - member selection committee identified and recommended service
contracts with the following programs:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contract negotiations with
the following organizations for the provision citywide prevention programs for youth:
Operations
Program Budget
Watershed Human & Community Development Agency $ 25,000.00
Pulaski County Juvenile Services 25,000.00
Centers for Youth and Families - Shepherd's Ranch 22,822.00
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas 24,822.00
Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp 21,975.00
TOTAL $ 119,619.00
SECTION 2. The contract's terms shall be for from June 1, 2000 to May 31, 2001.
SECTION 3. Funding for these programs is from funds remaining from the 1999 PIT
program contracts, account number 210- 035 -A491.
