WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has been committed to prevention, intervention and treatment programs to enhance public safety, community- building, and youth development; and, WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock released a Request for Proposal to obtain organizations to provide summer youth recreation and employment programs in Little Rock; and, WHEREAS, a five - member selection committee identified and recommended service contracts with the following programs: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contract negotiations with the following organizations for the provision of 2000 summer youth programs in Little Rock: Ancerson's I aelcwonao tenter tramp roslttve Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp Little Rock Boys & Girls Club/Thrasher Summer Outreach Program Little Rock Boys & Girls Club - Southwest Mentoring Program Little Rock Boys & Girls Club- Midtown Summer Mentoring Program Little Rock Boys & Girls Club -John Barrow/Western Outreach Program Faith Care Corp dba Inner City Futurenet Let Our Violence End (L.O.V.E.) Children's Museum of Arkansas Girl Scouts of Ouachita Council Centers for Youth and Families - Shepherd's Ranch Centers for Youth and Families - Stepping Stone Emergency Services Centro Hispano Communities in Schools of AR, Inc. - F.H.
