3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT
4 WITH GARVER ENGINEERS FOR ENGINEERING
s SERVICES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION PHASE OF
6 THE FINAL COVER ON CELL I OF THE CITY CLASS
7 I LANDFILL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City requested the qualifications of various engineering firms
10 to provide services on the construction phase for the final cover of Cell I of the City's
11 Class I Landfill, and
12 WHEREAS, after a competitive selection process, it was determined that Garver
13 Engineers was the most qualified firm, and after such determination a contract amount
14 was agreed upon as required by state law and City ordinance,
is NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
le DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an engineering
18 agreement with Garver Engineers in an amount not to exceed ninety five thousand five
19 hundred dollars ($95,500.00) for engineering services for the construction phase of the
20 capital improvement project for the final cover of Cell I of the City's Class I Landfill.
21 Section 2. Funds for this contract are available from the Solid Waste Revenue
22 Bond Fund.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any section, subsection, subdivision,
24 paragraph, subparagraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is
25 declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication
2e shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force
27 and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
28 originally a part of the resolution.

Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,
that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the
extent of such inconsistency.
