3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT
4 WITH PHILLIPS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY TO
s CONSTRUCT AN AFFORDABLE HOME AT 2201
6 SINGLETON COVE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

s WHEREAS, consistent with the City's HUD Consolidated Plan, there is a desire
9 to construct affordable homes within the City, and
10 WHEREAS, funds for this project are available from federal HOME project
ii funds, and
12 WHEREAS, after a competitive bid process, Sam Phillips Construction Company
13 was deemed the lowest responsible and responsive bidder,
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
15 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with
17 Sam Phillips Construction Company in an amount not to exceed seventy two thousand
is five hundred dollars ($72,500.00) to build an affordable home at 2201 Singleton Cove.
19 Section 2. Funds for this contract are available from federal HOME monies in
20 Account No. HM99- HOME -A356.
21 Section 3. Severability. In the event any section, subsection, subdivision,
22 paragraph, subparagraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is
23 declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication
24 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force
25 and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
26 originally a part of the resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,
28 that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the
29 extent of such inconsistency.
