A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXTEND A CONTRACT WITH UAMS ARKANSAS CARES,
FOR WOMEN'S EVENING OUTPATIENT TREATMENT
SERVICES IN 2000; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 716
WHEREAS, the City seeks to contract with an organization to provide
women's evening outpatient substance abuse treatment services for Little Rock
residents; and,
WHEREAS, the 1999 contract with Arkansas CARES allowed for two
additional one -year terms at the sole option of the City and subject to appropriation;
and
WHEREAS, the City desires to extend its contract with UAMS Arkansas
CARES to provide organized nonresidential substance abuse treatment services to
Little Rock women ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with UAMS
Arkansas CARES, for an amount not to exceed $173,250 for the term of January 1,
2000, through December 31, 2000. Said extention will allow for one additional
extension, at the sole option of the City based upon acceptable performance and
sufficient funding.
SECTION 2. Funding is available from City of Little Rock, FUTURE Little Rock -
Prevention, Intervention and Treatment dollars.
SECTION 3. Any contract entered into prior to the passage of the City Budget
Ordinance for the Year 2000 shall contain a non - appropriation clause.
