HomeMy WebLinkAbout107191 RESOLUTION NO. 10, 719 2 693 3 A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE INTENT OF THE LITTLE 4 ROCK BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO ACCEPT THE 5 DEDICATION OF THE FORMER M.M. COHN BUILDING ON 6 MAIN STREET IN DOWNTOWN LITTLE ROCK NOT LATER 7 THAN DECEMBER 14, 1999, PENDING RESOLUTION OF 8 TITLE AND OTHER LEGAL MATTERS TO THE 9 SATISFACTION OF THE CITY ATTORNEY. 10 11 WHEREAS, the owners of the former M.M. Cohn building on Main Street in downtown Little 12 Rock have offered to dedicate the property to the City of Little Rock; and 13 WHEREAS, no recent title work has been performed on the property and the City Attorney is 14 in the process of accumulating as much information about title and other legal matters as is available 15 to permit the Board of Directors to make an informed decision whether to accept the dedication of the 16 property; and 17 WHEREAS, the owners have expressed their desire to complete the dedication of the property 18 in 1999 and the Board of Directors wishes to express its intent to accept the property by resolution at 19 the next Board agenda meeting on December 14, 1999, provided the City Attorney can accumulate the 20 necessary information for an informed decision. 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 22 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 23 SECTION 1. The Little Rock Board of Directors hereby expresses its intent to accept the 24 dedication of the M.M.
