A RESOLUTION MAKING APPOINTMENTS AND
REAPPOINTMENTS TO THE AIRPORT COMMISSION, ARTS &
HUMANITIES PROMOTION COMMISSION, ARKANSAS ARTS
CENTER BOARD OF TRUSTEES, ARKANSAS MUSEUM OF
SCIENCE AND HISTORY BOARD OF TRUSTEES, CENTRAL
ARKANSAS LIBRARY SYSTEM BOARD OF TRUSTEES,
COMMUNITY HOUSING ADVISORY BOARD, COMMISSION
ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, EDUCATION COMMISSION,
MACARTHUR MILITARY HISTORY MUSEUM COMMISSION,
PLANNING COMMISSION, AND THE RACIAL AND CULTURAL
DIVERSITY COMMISSION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the following named persons are hereby appointed or
reappointed as members of the respective Boards and Commissions:
(a) AIRPORT COMMISSION
Mr. Carl Johnson, reappointed to serve a five year term expiring December 31,
2004.
(b) ARTS & HUMANITIES PROMOTION COMMISSION
Ms. Christie Godwin, appointed to serve a three year term, replacing Ms. Peyton
Bishop, said term expiring December 16, 2002.
Ms. Jamilyn Harris, appointed to serve a three year term replacing Ms. Carmen
McHaney, said term expiring December 16, 2002.
Mr. Kenyon Lowe, Sr., appointed to serve a three year term expiring December
16, 2002. (note: this slot is created due to change in the makeup of commission,
see Ord. 18,107).
(c) AR ARTS CENTER BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Mr. Jim Womble, appointed to serve a four year term replacing Ms. Letty
McAdams, said term expiring June 30, 2003.

(d) AR MUSEUM OF SCIENCE & HISTORY BD OF TRUSTEES
Mr. Bob Childress, appointed to serve a three year term, expiring December 31,
2002.
(e) CENTRAL ARKANSAS LIBRARY SYSTEM BD OF TRUSTEES
The following individuals are hereby reappointed to serve three year terms expiring
December 31, 2002:
Mr. Sherman Banks
Ms. Francis "O: Freddie Nixon
Mr. David Rickard
(t) COMMUNITY HOUSING ADVISORY BD
Mr. Charles Johnson (Landlord Rep), appointed to fill the unexpired term of Mr.
Farris Hensley, said term expiring June 2, 2000.
Ms. Jacquelyn Twillie (Neighborhood Association Rep.), appointed to serve a
three year term, replacing Jerry Husley, said tern expiring June 2, 2002.
Mr. Talmadge Hasberry, Sr., (CDC Rep.), appointed to serve a three year term,
replacing B.J. Bowen, said term expiring June 2, 2002.
Mr. Roger Cole, (Lending Institute Rep.), appointed to fill the unexpired term of
Mr. Carlos Ross, said term expiring June 2, 2001.
Ms. Doris Freer, (At large Rep.), appointed to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Steve
Bradley, said term expiring June 2, 2000.
(g) COMMISSION ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Ms. Connie Parker (Clinician), reappointed to serve a five year term expiring
November 1, 2004.
Ms. Kathy Findley (Victim Member), reappointed to serve a five year term
expiring November 1, 2004.
Ms. Nicole Sheffield (At large), appointed to serve the unexpired term Ms. Mary
Ruth Parker, said term expiring November 1, 2000.

(h) EDUCATION COMMISSION
Ms. Amber Muldrow (City Student), reappointed to serve a three year term
expiring November 1, 2002. 670
Dr. Katherine Mitchell (LR School Bd.), member, appointed to fill the unexpired
term of Ms. Sue Strickland, said term expiring November 2002.
(i) MACARTHUR MILITARY HISTORY MUSEUM COMMISSION
Ms. Jane Krutz, appointed to serve the unexpired term of Mr. Richard Dixon, and
a full term expiring expiring February 21, 2002.
Mr. Jason Hendren, appointed to serve the unexpired term of Mr. R. J. Hughes,
expiring February 21, 2000, and a fiill term expiring February 21, 2002.
Mr. James Ryan, appointed to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Walter Sims, said
term expiring February 21, 2001.
Mr. Rick Comer, appointed, to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Joe Volpe, said term
expiring February 21, 2001.
0) PLANNING COMMISSION
Mr. Rohn Muse, reinstated to serve the remainder of his term, expiring November
1, 2000.
(k) RACIAL & CULTURAL DIVERSITY COMMISSION
Mr. Thomas Brannon (Ward 6), reinstated to serve the reminder of his term
expiring March 3, 2001.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
