3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH CROW PAVING, INC. IN
5 THE AMOUNT OF $86,640.08 FOR CONSTRUCTION

6 SERVICES TO INSTALL A TWELVE FOOT (12') WIDE, TWO
7 (2) MILE LONG PEDESTRIAN /BIKE PATH AT TWO RIVERS
8 PARK.

10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock and Pulaski County own 750 acres of land
11 between the Arkansas and Little Maumelle Rivers in northwest Pulaski County; and
12 WHEREAS, Johnson, Johnson and Roy, design consultants, were selected to
13 develop a conceptual master plan for the site; and
14 WHEREAS, the plans involved developing an "environmental laboratory' with
15 activities for interpretive and educational opportunities for the public and pedestrian /bike
16 trails; and
17 WHEREAS, with an emphasis on passive recreational activities, the site is to be
18 left as undisturbed as possible; and
19 WHEREAS, the County will maintain the existing community garden plots on their
20 portion of the site.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
22 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
23 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to authorized to enter into a contract
24 with Crow Paving, Inc., in the amount of $86,640.08 for construction services to install a
25 12' wide, 2 mile long pedestrian /bike path at Two Rivers Park.
26 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available in account number 303 - 230 -0752.
27 SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
28 adoption.
