HomeMy WebLinkAbout10697RESOLUTION NO. 10,697 6 4 8 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TREASURY MANAGER AND TREASURY ANALYST TO ENGAGE THE SERVICES OF CERTAIN FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS TO TRANSACT CITY BUSINESS AND TO TRANSFER, SELL, ASSIGN, SET OVER, AND DELIVER ANY AND ALL BONDS, DEBENTURES, NOTES, EVIDENCES OF INDEBTEDNESS, OR OTHER SECURITIES NOW OR HEREAFTER OWNED BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AND TO MAKE, EXECUTE, AND DELIVER ANY AND ALL WRITTEN INSTRUMENTS NECESSARY OR PROPER TO EFFECTUATE THE AUTHORITY HEREBY CONFERRED; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 15 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors adopted a new investment policy in Little Rock, Ark. 16 Res. No. 10,609 (July 27, 1999); and 17 WHEREAS, Section V. of the policy authorizes the establishment of a list of financial 18 institutions authorized to provide investment services; and 19 WHEREAS, the financial institutions require a corporate resolution from the Board of 20 Directors authorizing the City to do business with the financial institutions and naming the City 21 employees authorized to conduct business on behalf of the City. 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 23 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 24 SECTION 1. Dwight Goodwin, Treasury Manager, and Scott Massanelli, Treasury Analyst 25 are authorized individuals to effect securities transactions for the City of Little Rock. All transactions 26 shall -be consistent with the invcstmcntpolicy adopted -in Res. No: 10;609 (July 27, 1999) and state 27 law. These individuals are authorized to open an account, to execute any and all relevant documents, 28 and to deal with the financial institution in connection with all aspects of the account. 29 SECTION 2. The City Clerk is authorized to certify, from time to time, the names and titles 30 of the authorized individuals to the financial institutions who meet the qualifications set forth in 31 Section V. of the Policy, and to notify the financial institutions when changes in office occur. 32 SECTION 3. The City Clerk is further authorized to certify to the financial institutions that 33 such a notification has been duly adopted and will remain in full force and effect until the Transfer 34 Agent receives a duly authorized amendment to the certification form. 1 SECTION 4.
