HomeMy WebLinkAbout106440 0 1 RESOLUTION NO. 10,644 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO EXTEND THE TIME PERIOD DURING 4 WHICH EXTENDED HOURS FOR CONSTRUCTION WORK IS 5 PERMITTED IN THE AREAS DECLARED TO BE DISASTER 6 AREAS IN LITTLE ROCK RESOLUTION 10,607; AND FOR 7 OTHER PURPOSES. 522 8 WHEREAS, as a result of the January 21, 1999, tornado a major portion of downtown Little 9 Rock and southwest Little Rock were devastated and rendered disaster areas requiring substantial 10 renovation, demolition, and other construction work, and 11 WHEREAS, by declaring an area a disaster area the City can permit construction work to 12 be extended an additional three hours on weekdays and also on Saturday, and 13 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors declared certain areas disaster areas, thereby permitting 14 extended hours for construction work, in Little Rock Resolution 10,607, passed on July 20, 1999, 15 and 16 WHEREAS, citizens living in these disaster areas have indicated that it is necessary to extend 17 the time period during which extended hours for construction work is permitted until January 1, 2000. 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 19 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 20 SECTION 1: Construction work in the areas declared disaster areas in LRR 10,607 may be 21 extended to the time period between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and on Saturdays until 22 January 1, 2000. 23 ADOPTED: September 7, 1999 24 25 ATTEST: APPROVED: 26 27 Q 0� �i �•/! 28 Robbie Hancock, City Clerk Jim D y, Mayor 29 30 APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM: 31 Thomas M.
