3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
4 TO EXTEND THE CONTRACT WITH SOUTHWEST EAP
5 FOR THE EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR
6 CITY EMPLOYEES FOR A THREE YEAR PERIOD
7 EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1999.

9 WHEREAS, the City has provided Employee Assistance Program services to all
10 employees since 1986; and
11 WHEREAS, Southwest EAP has been the provider for the Employee Assistance
12 Program since its inception; and
13 WHEREAS, Southwest has proposed a three year renewal with a rate lower than the
14 current rate.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TH E BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to renew the contract with Southwest EAP
18 for the Employee Assistance Program for a three year period effective July 1, 1999.
19 SECTION 2. Funding for this project has been included in the current 1999 budget.
20 SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
