3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE EXTENSION OF
4 SEWER SERVICE TO A DEVELOPMENT IN THE CITY OF
5 ALEXANDER, SALINE COUNTY, ARKANSAS; AND FOR
6 OTHER PURPOSES.

2 WHEREAS, the City Board of Directors has received a request from Griffen Leggett
9 Funeral Homes to approve the extension of a 2 -inch or 8 -inch sewer main to its development
10 which is in the process of annexation to the City of Alexander, Arkansas, and
11 WHEREAS, certain persons within the Alexander corporate boundaries are already
12 receiving City water and, in addition, this Board has approved the extension of sewer servioes
13 to Alexander in Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 17,610 (November 4, 1997), and
14 WHEREAS, the application meets the requirements of City policy on the extension of
is sewer service outside the City of Little Rock, and
16 WHEREAS, the staff at the Little Rock Wastewater Utility has reviewed and approved
17 the extension subject to the approval of the Little Rock Board of Directors, and
18 WHEREAS, the developer will pay all costs of the extension of a 2 -inch or 8 -inch line
19 (capacity to be determined pending further engineering study by the applicant) and will pay the
20 costs of a pump necessary,
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
22 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby approves the extension of a sewer main
24 for approximately 775 feet from an existing Little Rock Wastewater Utility manhole on the
25 Saline County line to serve Griffen Leggett Funeral Home development upon annexation to
26 the City of Alexander, provided the developer agrees to pay, and pays, any necessary tie -on
27 costs and any necessary assessments for any water and sewer improvements districts in the
20 area.
