RESOLUTION NO. 10,525
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A CONTRACT TO
HEAVYQUIP OF ARKANSAS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$51,489.14 FOR RECONDITIONING AN 892 JOHN DEERE
BACKHOE FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS LANDFILL.
WHEREAS, this is an 8 year -old excavator costing approximately $300,000 to replace; and
WHEREAS, the useful life of the machine can be extended to five years at the minimum by
reconditioning the machine.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids and award a contract to
Heavyquip of Arkansas, the low bidder meeting specifications, in an amount not to exceed
$51,489.14 for the purchase of an 892 John Deere Backhoe for the Public Works Department.
SECTION 2. Funds are available for this purchase from the Solid Waste Revenue Bond
Fund,
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
