RESOLUTION NO. 10,487
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO 66
EXECUTE CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF SIX (6)
HOUSES ON BARBER AVENUE AND ONE (1) HOUSE ON
WELCH STREET FOR FLOOD CONTROL PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, these houses are all occupied homes that flood whenever there is a heavy rain;
and
WHEREAS, some of the residents have asked the City to buy them out so that they can
relocate; and
WHEREAS, some are repeat flood insurance claims.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute contracts for the purchase of six
houses on Barber Avenue for the purpose of flood control in the amount of $102,000. The houses are
located at 2818 Barber Avenue, 2812 Barber Avenue, 2920 Welch, 2814 Barber Avenue, 2714 Barber
Avenue, 2724 Barber Avenue and 2703 Barber Avenue.
SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available from the account number 304 220 A125.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
