RESOLUTION NO. 10,437 595
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXTEND THE CONTRACT WITH NEW FUTURES FOR
YOUTH TO PROVIDE YOUTH EMPLOYABILITY AND
VIOLENCE PREVENTION SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing quality prevention and
intervention services for Little Rock youth, and,
WHEREAS, the current contract with New Futures for Youth has an option for one additional
one -year extension based on their performance and Little Rock Board of Directors appropriations; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contract with New Futures for
Youth to provide youth employability and violence prevention services for an amount not to exceed
$200,000.
SECTION 2. The contract will be for a one -year term, beginning on January 1, 1999 and
ending no later than December 31, 1999.
SECTION 3. Contingent upon Little Rock Board of Directors adoption of the 1999 City of
budget, funding for the contract shall come from Future - Little Rock tax revenue specified for
prevention, intervention and treatment programs.
