3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
4 TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH HEALTH
5 ADVANTAGE TO PROVIDE HEALTH INSURANCE
6 COVERAGE FOR CITY EMPLOYEES FOR A ONE YEAR
7 PERIOD EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1999.

9 WHEREAS, the City provides health insurance to all eligible full -time employees; and
10 WHEREAS, in response to a higher than anticipated renewal proposal from the
11 incumbent carrier, a Request for Proposal was issued; and
12 WHEREAS, analysis, including actuarial evaluation of benefit design differences,
13 shows that the proposal received from Health Advantage represents the best value for the City
14 and covered employees.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
16 ' THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Health
18 Advantage to provide health insurance coverage for City employees for a one year period
19 effective January 1, 1999.
20 SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
21 adoption.
