WHEREAS, the proposed award is consistent with the City's Consolidated Plan which was developed with extensive citizen participation and identified the provision of shelters for the homeless as having a high priority. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to approve the distribution of emergency shelter grant funds in the amount of $69,000 to providers of Homeless assistance as follows: Addiction Treatment Centers, Inc. 510,000 Funding is requested for the renovation of the shelter facility. Matching finds were provided through a State Historic Preservation Grant. Advocates for Battered Women $8,000 Funding is for pharmaceuticals, insurance, utilities, and maintenance of the shelter. Centers for Youth and Families $ 7,600 Funding is for the renovation of the showers at the youth shelter and linens for clients of the shelter. . The Gaines House $12,000 Funding is for food, utilities, and furnishing for the shelter. Little Rock Community Menial Heal[ $ 5,000 Finding is for medication and housing deposit assistance for .clients of the mental health for the homeless program. 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 Our House. Inc. S14,300 Funding is for inferior painting, purchase of security cameras and monitoring equipment, furniture, utility and maintenance expenses for Our House I and Our House H facilities. Salvation Army $12,100 Funding is for furniture and bedding for the men's and women's dormitories and for supplies and equipment for the shelter kitchen.
