3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
4 TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH BUSINESSMEN'S
5 ASSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA (BMA) TO
6 PROVIDE LIFE INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR CITY
7 EMPLOYEES FOR A THREE YEAR PERIOD EFFECTIVE
8 JANUARY 1, 1999.

10 WHEREAS, the City provides term life insurance coverage to all eligible full time
11 employees; and
12 WHEREAS, Businessman's Assurance Company had the lowest premium rate as well
13 as providing a three year guarantee of those rates.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with
17 Businessman's Assurance Company to provide life insurance coverage for City employees for
18 a three year period effective January 1, 1999.
19 SECTION 2. Funding for this project has been included in the proposed 1999 budget.
20 SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
