3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXTEND
4 THE CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL GROUP (AIG)
5 FOR ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT INSURANCE
6 COVERAGE FOR CITY EMPLOYEES FOR A TWO YEAR PERIOD
7 EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1999.

9 WHEREAS, American International Group (AIG) has been the provider of AD &D
10 coverage since January 1, 1997; and
11 WHEREAS, the proposed renewal and two -year rate guarantee will represent the third
12 and fourth years of a normal three year contract period.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
14 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to renew the contract with American
16 International Group (AIG) for AD &D insurance coverage for City employees for a two year
17 period effective January 1, 1999.
18 SECTION 2. Funding for this project has been included in the proposed 1999 budget.
19 SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
