4 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
5 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, CERTIFYING LOCAL
GOVERNMENT ENDORSEMENT OF ALLTEL CORPORATION
6 AND SUBSIDIARIES TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ARKANSAS
7 ENTERPRISE ZONE PROGRAM.

10 WHEREAS, the local government must endorse a business or enterprise to
11 participate in the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program and benefit from the exemptions as
12 provided in the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program Regulations of 1993, and
13
14 WHEREAS, said endorsement must be made on specific forms available from
15 AIDC, and
16 WHEREAS, ALLTEL Corporation and its Subsidiaries have been determined by
17
18 the management of the Enterprise Zone as an appropriate applicant, and
19 WHEREAS, these jobs will be filled in various entities at multiple locations
20 throughout the City and temporary lease locations as required pending completion of the
21
22 project:
East Campus One Allied Drive
23 West Campus 4001 Rodney Parham Road
24 Paramount 11025 Anderson Drive
Simmons 11101 Anderson Drive
25 Output Processing Center II 2201 Brookwood Drive
26 ALLTEL Airplane Hanger 2505 Crisp Drive
Service Station 3501 Old Cantrell Road
27 Disaster Recovery Site 409 Shall Street

29 WHEREAS, ALLTEL Corporation and its Subsidiaries have agreed to furnish to
30 management of the Enterprise Zone all necessary information for compliance.

32 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
33 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
34 SECTION 1 -A. ALLTEL Corporation and its Subsidiaries shall be endorsed by
35
36 the City of Little Rock for benefit from the refunds and tax credits as provided in the

Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program Regulations of 1993, through June 30, 1999,
including any local City gross receipts and compensating use taxes.
SECTION 1 -B. The Department of Finance and Administration shall be
authorized to refund local sales and use taxes to ALLTEL Corporation and its
Subsidiaries.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is authorized to sign the required Certificate of Local
Government Endorsement.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in full force from and after
its adoption and approval.
