HomeMy WebLinkAbout103011 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 RESOLUTION NO. 10,301 317 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT PROVIDING $49,869 IN CDBG FUNDS TO THE CENTRAL ARKANSAS DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL. WHEREAS, the proposal is consistent with the City's Consolidated Plan which was developed with extensive citizen participation; and WHEREAS, the project involves the provision of nontraditional child care and related services by licensed child care providers located in the City of Little Rock to aid in the implementation of Personal Responsibility Act Programs (Welfare -to- Work); WHEREAS, the Central Arkansas Development Council (CADC) plans to provide extended child care services for 63 children in two locations in east (Booker Homes Head Start) and central Little Rock (King Head Start); and WHEREAS, services will be available 10.5 hours per day for 54 days during the summer months for ten (10) infants and toddlers and 53 pre - school children whose parents are either employed or enrolled in education or job training initiatives of welfare reform. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1.
