A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH ED BLAKELY (THE
GOURMET CALORIE COUNTER) TO OPERATE AND
MANAGE THE WAR MEMORIAL FITNESS CENTER
CONCESSIONS.
WHEREAS, the City's Parks and Recreation Department currently owns and operates the
Fitness Center Concession; and
WHEREAS, the City currently loses approximately $31,237 per year in operating this
concession facility; and
WHEREAS, by receiving a percentage from the operation based on Mr. Blakely's
Projections, the City could receive up to $10,000 in concession fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Ed Blakely to
operate the War Memorial Fitness Caf6.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
