A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS IN
SUPPORT OF THE RIVER MOUNTAIN NEIGHBORHOOD
ACTION PLAN STEERING COMMITTEE'S RECOMMENDATION
FOR DEVELOPMENT OF AN ORDINANCE FOR THE
PRESERVATION OF UNDISTRUBED NATURAL SPACE.
WHEREAS, a coalition of various neighborhood
associations in the River Mountain District formed a
Steering Committee to develop a River Mountain
Neighborhood Action Plan; and,
WHEREAS, that Steering Committee recognizes the
importance of voluntarily preserving and maintaining
natural spaces; and,
WHEREAS, a recommendation contained in the River
Mountain Neighborhood Action Plan was to develop an
ordinance amending the current Land Use Ordinance and the
current Zoning Ordinance to each include a classification
for Undisturbed Natural Areas "UNA" .
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock does hereby support the River Mountain
Steering Committee's request for the development of a
Zoning classification and a Land Use classification, as
well as amendments to current Zoning and Land Use
Ordinances respectively to establish said classification.
