A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED TO THE OWNERS OF 9600 COCHRANE
STREET TO CORRECT AN ERROR IN THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION.
WHEREAS, the owners of 9600 Cochrane Street have owned and lived at the property since
November 1965; and
WHEREAS, in the course of selling the property to a buyer, a local title company
discovered that a small portion of the lot was inaccurately described in a conveyance of adjacent
property to the City of Little Rock in a 1973 deed; and
WHEREAS, the City claims no interest in the portion of the lot and staff acknowledges the
error in the legal description; and
WHEREAS, in order for the owners of the lot to convey clear title and obtain title insurance
on the lot, the legal description must be corrected.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute a Quitclaim Deed to the
owners of 9600 Cochrane Street in substantially the form attached to this Resolution.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

That the CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, Grantor, for and in consideration of Ten Dollars
($10.00), and other valuable consideration, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby
grant, convey and quitclaim unto IRWIN E. BARGER and MILDRED FOWLER BARGER,
Grantees, all of Grantor's right, title, interest, equity and claim in and to the following described lands
lying in the County of Pulaski and State of Arkansas, to -wit:
Part of the NEIA NEl /4, Section 10, T -I -S, R -13 -W, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, described as:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the said NE 1/4 NE 1/4 of Section
10; run thence North 490 feet to the point of beginning; thence run N
490 00' E, 73 feet to a County Road (Cocharane Road); thence run S 35'
00' E, 133.2 feet; thence run S 50° 22'W, 170.5 feet to the West line of
the said NEIA NEIA; thence North 170.1 feet to the point of beginning.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same unto the said City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and unto
its successors and assigns forever, with all appurtenances thereunto belonging.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Grantor has caused this Quitclaim Deed to be signed in its
name and behalf by the Mayor and its corporate seal to be hereunto affixed and attested by the City
Clerk as of this day of
