3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE SALE OF 22
a CITY OWNED VACANT LOTS IN VERNON PLACE
5 ADDITION AND TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND
6 CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED
7 TO NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN OUTREACH CHURCH
8 (LOTS 1, 3, 31, 32, 37, 38, 39, 40 THRU 46, AND 12 -19,
9 VERNON PLACEADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE

13 WHEREAS, New Life Christian Outreach Church is a nonprofit organization
is authorized by the State of Arkansas as a nondenominational church, and
15 WHEREAS, the reported mission of the New Life Christian Outreach Church is to
16 build a sanctuary and gymnasium on the City owned vacant lots; and
17 WHEREAS, the vacant lots have been collectively referred to as "Sin City,"
i8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
19 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to approve the sale of City owned
21 property in Vernon Place Addition to New Life Christian Outreach Church in the amount of
22 $15,000.00.
23 Section 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute a Warranty Deed
24 to New Life Christian Outreach Church for purchase of the property in Vernon Place
25 Addition pursuant to the following conditions:
26 (A) The New Life Christian Outreach Church places
27 $15,000.00 in escrow with the City by May 1, 1998;
28 (B) The City pays the taxes due on the following described
29 property by May 1, 1998;
30 (C) The New Life Christian Outreach Church, on behalf of
31 the City and by May 31, 1998, , files an appropriate petition
(Rec. 5- 5 -98.) 1
t to rezone the property, to show that this property will be used
2 as:
(1) A church sanctuary;
(2) A family life center;
(3) An education center; and
(4) A children's and adult daycare center.
Because the application will be made on behalf of the City, the City will waive any necessary
fees for filing the rezoning application.
Section 3. The property described in this memorandum is more fully described
as Lots 1, 3, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17. 18. 19. 31, 32, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44 ,45, 46, of
Vernon's Place Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
