A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF LAND FROM THE
FAMILY OF MARY ALICE MCDONALD FOR PARK PURPOSES
ADJACENT TO KIWANIS PARK.
WHEREAS, Mary Alice McDonald's family approached Parks with the offer of.72 acres
for property as a donation for park purposes; and
WHEREAS, staff reviewed the parcel and determined the offer would improve citizen's use
and enjoyment of the park; and
WHEREAS, an environmental assessment has been obtained indicating the property is clear
of any environmental hazards; and
WHEREAS, current plans are to maintain the wooded property as is which will provide
buffer control and preservation of wildlife habitat between the park and residential development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept the donation of .72 acres of
property for park purposes adjacent to Kiwanis Park from the family of Mary Alice McDonald.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
