A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A GRANT
APPLICATION TO THE ARKANSAS ALCOHOL AND
DRUG ABUSE COORDINATING COUNCIL
THROUGH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF
FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION FOR THE
CONTINUATION OF BYRNE FUNDING TO THE
LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL CRIMINAL COURT.
WHEREAS, the Arkansas State Department of Finance and Administration,
Intergovernmental Services, oversees and administers the Department of Justice Byrne Grant
funds; and
WHEREAS, the court and probation officers who work for the court request a
fingerprint identification workstation that ties into the Arkansas State system run by the
Arkansas State Police and the continued ability to drug test offenders on probation; and
WHEREAS, these activities are eligible for funding under this program, which the
Little Rock Municipal Court, First Division, Probation is a current recipient of these funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
authorizes a grant application to the Department of Finance, Intergovernmental Services for
review by the Arkansas Alcohol and Drug Abuse Coordinating Council for Byrne funds and
will provide a grant match of $25,000 from the 1998 budget for such purposes.
