RESOLUTION NO. 10.130
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXTEND CONTRACTS FOR GANG INTERVENTION SERVICES.

WHEREAS, in 1997, the City of Little Rock awarded service contracts to community based
organizations for gang intervention services for youth; and,
WHEREAS, these service contracts were eligible for renewal based on performance review,
Board approval and appropriations; and,
WHEREAS, a review committee recommended that service contracts with the following
programs be renewed:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to renew, subject to appropriations, the following
contracts for gang intervention services for youth:
1. Camp Aldersgate (1 male site)
2. Little Rock Housing Authority (2 male sites)
3. Hoover United Methodist Church (2 male sites and I female site)
4. Step Up Center (2 male site and 1 female site)
5. Little Rock Boys Club (1 male site)
6. Watershed, Inc. (I male and 1 female site)
Section 2. The City intends to contract for a twelve -month period, with possible renewal of contracts in
1999 based on performance and appropriations. Funding for 1998 is contingent upon appropriations by
the Board of Directors in the adoption of the 1998 budget.
Section 3. Funding for these programs is from FUTURE - Little Rock tax revenue specified for
prevention and intervention programs.
