2 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK.,
3 RESOLUTION 9,719 (JUNE 4,1996), TO PERMIT
4 THE TRANSFER OF HOME FUND TO THE OAKS NURSING
5 HOME; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors adopted Little Rock, Ark., Res. 9,719 on June 4, 1996,
: 1 8 to permit the use of four hundred and sixty two thousand three hundred and fifty dollars for

cq 9 affordable housing , and
M 10 WHEREAS, at the time the resolution was adopted, it was believed that this housing would
11 be located at the Westside School, but has since been moved to 4115 West 16th Street, and

12 WHEREAS, it was originally believed that closing on this new site would be completed by
d 13 May 1, 1997, but because of various problems in closing it cannot close before November 15, 1997,

co 15 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors wishes to facilitate the closing on this new property

16 and to use these HOME funds for this already approved purpose,
M
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
v 19 Section 1. Little Rock, Ark., Resolution 9,719 (June 4, 1996) is hereby amended to

a 20 read as follows:
y 21 The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Volunteers
g 22 of America in an amount not to exceed $462,350 in HOME funds to be used to renovate an
23 area at 4115 West 16th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas, for single -room occupancy affordable
24 housing provided the closing on this site is completed by November 15, 1997.
