A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
UTILIZE FEDERAL FUNDING ASSISTANCE AND PROVIDE
FIFTY PERCENT (50 %) MATCHING MONIES FOR
DEVELOPMENT OF RECREATIONAL TRAILS WITHIN
BOYLE PARK.
WHEREAS, several neighborhood associations in the Boyle Park area have
endorsed the recreational improvements taking place within the park; and
WHEREAS, the City is eligible to receive grant monies from the Arkansas State
Highway Department's Recreational Trails Fund Program; and
WHEREAS, this program is a 50/50 match and will leverage a total of $40,000
for trail construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to utilize federal funding
assistance and provide 50% matching monies for development of recreational trails
within Boyle Park.
SECTION 2. Matching funds in the amount of $20,000 are available in
the Boyle Park Improvements account number 303- 230 -0529.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
