RESOLUTION NO. . 10,072
A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT JANE DICKEY AS A
COMMISSIONER OF THE LITTLE ROCK WATER
COMMISSION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City created a municipal waterworks commission pursuant to state statute;
and
WHEREAS, Ark. Code Ann. § 14- 234 -304 (Michie Supp. 1995) and Little Rock, Ark., Rev.
Code § 35 -26 (1988), provide that vacancies on the water commission are filled by the members of
the commission, subject to the approval of the City Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, a vacancy has occurred, the commission has met and recommended Ms. Jane
Dickey, and the Board of Directors, by two - thirds vote in open session, agrees with this
recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Ms. Jane Dickey of Little Rock, Arkansas, is appointed to fill the unexpired
term of Meredith Catlett on the Little Rock Municipal Water Works Commission, effective the date
of this resolution, said term expiring October 31, 2001.
