HomeMy WebLinkAbout10070I RESOLUTION NO. 10,070 PO 9 2 3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY 4 MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT 5 WITH ARKANSAS CREDIT UNION LEAGUE FOR 6 THE LEASING OF CERTAIN OFFICE SPACE 7 LOCATED AT 1023 WEST CAPITOL AVENUE FOR 8 THE INTERNAL AFFAIRS UNIT OF THE LITTLE 9 ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER 10 PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, the anticipated expansion of the Internal Affairs Unit of the Little Rock 13 Police Department has brought about the need for additional office space to be utilized by the 14 Unit; and 15 WHEREAS, in addition to the needed office space, the Internal Affairs Unit wishes 16 to provide a work environment that is easily accessible to the public; and 17 WHEREAS, the leasing of office space located at 1023 West Capitol Avenue would 18 provide for both the needed office space and ease of access to the public for the Unit. 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS 20 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 21 SECTION 1: The City Manager is authorized to enter into a Lease Agreement with 22 Arkansas Credit Union League for the leasing of approximately three thousand (3000) square 23 feet of certain office space located at 1023 West Capitol Avenue for the Internal Affairs Unit 24 of the Little Rock Police Department. 25 SECTION 2: The initial primary term of this Lease Agreement will be for a period 26 of three (3) years, with two (2) successive extension or renewal options of three (3) years 27 each. 28 SECTION 3: The City agrees to pay to the Arkansas Credit Union League, subject 29 to budgetary approval and annual appropriation, monthly rent during the first year of the 30 initial primary term of the Lease in the amount of $3,000.00. The rent during the second and 31 third years of the initial primary term of the Lease will be payable monthly in the amount of 32 $2,750.00. The rent during the first renewal period of the Lease, if exercised, will be payable 33 monthly in the amount of $2915.00.
