HomeMy WebLinkAbout9977RESOLUTION NO. 9,977 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXTENSION OF THE ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT WITH THE MEHLBURGER FIRM ASSOCIATED WITH PHASE 11 OF THE LANDFILL DEVELOPMENT. 211 WHEREAS, the original contract of $639,353.97 with the Mehlburger Firm was for engineering services related to the design and construction of Phase It of the landfill; and WHEREAS, during the course of the construction and study of alternatives decisions were made which changed the course of some activities, $146,952.66 was deleted from the contract and $198,458.43 was added; and WHEREAS, the most significant items that would not be completed are a cell design, leachate heavy metal design, leachate sludge disposal design and completion of the bailer facility design; and WHEREAS, major items that were expanded or added include the heavy equipment wash, fueling station, old landfill gas study, in -place density study and to evaluate compliance with a new requirement by ADPC &E for an air permit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the engineering services contract with the Mehlburger Firm associated with Phase 11 of the Landfill development. SECTION 2. Funding in the amount of $51,505.77 is available from the Solid Waste Revenue Bond Fund.
