3 A RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO APPOINT WALLY ALLEN TO THE
4 LITTLE ROCK ADVERTISING & PROMOTION COMMISSION AND
5 TO ALLOW HIM A THIRD TERM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors adopted a policy that limits to two the number of

8 terms a person may serve on a municipal board or commission, Little Rock, Ark., Resolution
9 No. 8096 (February 1, 1989), and
10 WHEREAS, Wally Allen is currently serving a second full term and is the Chair of the
11 Little Rock Advertising & Promotion Commission and, has served in that position during the
12 various planning stages for the expansion of the Statehouse Convention Center, and
13 WHEREAS, the Commission does not believe that it would not be in the best interests
14 of the City to have a new Chair of the Commission at this time and that Mr. Allen should
15 continue in service for one more term in order to oversee the completion of this expansion
16 project,
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 SECTION 1. The Board concludes that under the unique circumstances of this situation
20 it will agree to one final term for Commissioner Wally Allen as an industry member of the Little
21 Rock Advertising & Promotion Commission, provided the Commission nominates him for this
22 position on the Commission.
