A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH BLAYLOCK, THREET,
PHILLIPS, AND ASSOCIATES, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF
$49,420 TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE
RECONSTRUCTION OF SCOTT STREET FROM EAST 29TH
TO EAST 31ST STREETS, PIGGEE STREET FROM IVES TO
DERRICK STREETS, SCHILLER STREET AND SUMMIT
STREET FROM WRIGHT AVENUE TO 18TH STREET, AND
WEST 18TH STREET FROM SCHILLER TO SUMMIT
STREETS, 21ST AND 22ND YEAR CDBG PROJECTS.

WHEREAS, the project is consistent with the City's Consolidated Plan; and
WHEREAS, $402,040 was allocated by the Board in the CDBG 21 st and 22nd
Year Program for engineering and constriction of the described package of public
facilities improvements in the South Little Rock, Pankey, and Central High
Redevelopment (CDBG) areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with
Blaylock, Threet, Phillips, and Associates, Inc., the most qualified bidder meeting
specifications, in an amount not to exceed $49,420 to provide engineering services for
the reconstruction of Scott Street from East 29th to East 31 st Street, Piggee Street from

Ives to Derrick Street, and Schiller and Summit Streets from Wright Avenue to 18th
Street from Schiller to Summit Street.
SECTION 2. Funding in the amount of $49,420 is available for engineering 50
from the Commwuty Development Block Grant Program and is budgeted for in the 21 st
and 22nd Year Consolidated Plan.
