A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH HOMEOWNERSHIP
PARTNERS OF ARKANSAS, INC. TO CONSTRUCT,
MARKET, AND SELL UP TO SIXTEEN (16) AFFORDABLE
HOMES IN THE PARKVIEW HILL SUBDIVISION; AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR THE SALE
OF THE LOTS TO HOMEOWNERSHIP PARTNERS OF
ARKANSAS, INC.
WHEREAS, the proposal is consistent with the City's Consolidated Plan; and
WHEREAS, the CDBG and Housing Division purchased the Parkview Hill Subdivision with
Affordable Home funds to increase the supply of affordable housing in the City; and
WHEREAS, Homeownership Partners of Arkansas, Inc. was selected in response to a
request for qualifications issued pursuant to a competitive negotiation process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with
Homeownership Partners of Arkansas, to construct, market and sell up to sixteen (16) homes in the
Parkview Hill Subdivision.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute the necessary documents
for the sale of sixteen (16) lots in Parkview Hill Subdivision to Homeownership Partners of Arkansas,
Inc. for this purpose.
SECTION 3. The funds used to purchase the subdivision will be recouped through the sale
of the lots to Homeownership Partners of Arkansas, Inc. Funds are available from the HOME
Investment Partnership Program for first -time home buyers assistance for eligible home buyers in the
subdivision.
