RESOLUTION NO. 9,841
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
WITH ALLIANCE BENEFIT GROUP FOR A
FLEXIBLE BENEFITS PROGRAM
ADMINISTRATOR.
WHEREAS, the City has made available the Premium only Plan
under IRS Code Section 125; and
WHEREAS, the flexible benefits plan is being expanded for
the nonunion represented employee group to provide additional
benefit options as allowed under that code section; and
WHEREAS, a plan administrator is required in order to
provide those benefits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with Alliance Benefit Group for a flexible Benefits
Program Administrator.
SECTION 2. Funding for this program expansion has been
included in the 1997 budget projection. Administrative cost for
this plan should be offset by cost savings to the City through a
reduction in FICA and Medicare matching contributions on funds
deferred through this program by City employees.
