A RESOLUTION TO REPEAL LITTLE ROCK, ARK.,
RESOLUTION NO. 9813 (OCTOBER 15, 1996)1
AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE SOUTHWEST LITTLE ROCK SWIMMING
POOL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors previously passed a
resolution to award a contract to build a swimming pool complex
in Southwest Little Rock to Roxco Construction Co.; and
WHEREAS, a challenge has since been raised that this bid
was not properly awarded because Roxco's State Contractor's
License was not in effect at the time of the bid; and
.
WHEREAS, state law demands that an out of state contractor
must have a valid Arkansas license before a bid can be
considered; and
WHEREAS, with the rejection of this bid it has been
determined that the matter should be submitted again for
competitive bidding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Little Rock, Ark., Resolution 9,813 (October 15,
1996) is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is directed to advertise bids
for the construction of the Southwest Little Rock swimming pool
complex as soon as possible.
