A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A
CONTRACT TO EXPLORER SYSTEMS FOR THE
PURCHASE OF A DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM
FOR THE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND
HISTORY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Explorer Systems, the most qualified
bidder meeting specifications, in an amount not to exceed
$46,480 for the purchase of a data processing system for the
Museum of Science and History.
SECTION 2. Funds are available for this purpose in account
number 210- 230 -0397.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.

RECOMMENDATION AND DISCUSSION: It is recommended that the award be given
to the low bidder meeting specifications, Explorer System. Select Ticketing, the apparent
low bidder failed to include required software which if purchased elsewhere would increase
their bid and create a problem with compatibility with the hardware. The Museum would
rather award this as an all or none bid therefore making Explorer System the low bidder on
all equipment and software listed.
