RESOLUTION NO. 9,627
A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT THE ADVERTISING AND
PROMOTION COMMISSION AS THE CITY'S AGENT TO
OVERSEE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS TO
EXPAND THE STATEHOUSE CONVENTION CENTER; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Pulaski
County, Arkansas,. have entered into an interlocal agreement
pursuant to Act 380 of 1971 to expand the Statehouse Convention
Center; and
WHEREAS, it is important to have an entity involved in the
City's convention business and experienced in overseeing the
construction of improvements to convention centers be involved
in this process; and
WHEREAS, the Advertising and Promotion Commission and its
executive director have this unique experience and knowledge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Little Rock Advertising and Promotion
Commission is hereby appointed as the City's agent to oversee
and manage the construction of improvements that will expand the
convention center complex presently located at the Statehouse
Convention Center, provided that this oversight is consistent
with the terms and provisions of an interlocal agreement entered
into this date with Pulaski County.
