A RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO
PARTICIPATE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A
COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER AT
PHILANDER SMITH COLLEGE; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has funded as a part of the
1996 budget .a matching contribution for a Community Learning
Center to be located at Philander Smith College to be funded in
part with funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development ("HUD°); and
WHEREAS, HUD requires a resolution of the Board noting this
commitment in order to process the federal matching dollars.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board states its intent to fund its portion
of the Community Learning Center to be located at 14th and
Chester Streets in an amount not to exceed $150,000 in
accordance with the 1996 City budget ordinance.
