A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH
SAFETY- KLF.EN CORPORATION TO INSTALL GROUND
WATER MONITORING WELLS IN IRONTON CUTOFF
ROAD; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Safety -Kleen Corporation is completing an
investigation to. address contamination from an area where a
leaking underground tank was once located; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to use monitoring wells on the
location to determine the extent of any such leakage.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a
lease agreement, in a form approved by the City Attorney, with
Safety -Kleen Corporation of Elgin, Illinois, to lease certain
properties on Ironton Cutoff Road for purposes testing the
property for possible groundwater contamination from a leaking
underground storage tank.
