RESOLUTION NO. 9,552
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ALLOCATE 1988 CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT BOND FUND PROCEEDS FOR
THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY AT 3223
ARCH STREET AND TO MAKE IMPROVEMENTS
FOR STORAGE FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF
PARRS AND RECREATION.
WHEREAS, the Arkansas Cotton Products Building at 3223 Arch
is presently for sale; and
WHEREAS, it has approximately 5,000 square feet of dry
storage space and.almost two - thirds of an acre of land adjoining
it; and
WHEREAS, this building is directly adjacent to our existing
Landscape Shop and its proximity makes it a very desirable
acquisition to satisfy present and future needs of the
department; and
WHEREAS, with the expansion of facilities and programs
including "Adopt -A- Park" storage has become critical for Parks;
and
WHEREAS, funding would allow for purchase of the land and
building, repairs to structure, fencing, and greenhouse and
nursery expansion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIREC'T'ORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to allocate
$95,000 from the 1988 Capital Improvement Bond Fund proceeds to
purchase land with existing building and make improvements for
Parks storage.
