RESOLUTION NO. 9.548
A RESOLUTION MAKING APPOINTMENTS AND REAPPOINTMENTS TO
THE ARTS AND HUMANITIES PROMOTION COMMISSION, ARKANSAS
MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND HISTORY BOARD OF TRUSTEES,
CENTRAL ARKANSAS LIBRARY SYSTEM BOARD OF TRUSTEES, CITY
BEAUTIFUL COMMISSION, COMMISSION ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE,
EDUCATION COMMISSION, HOUSING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND
APPEALS, LITTLE ROCK PLANNING COMMISSION, AND THE
RACIAL AND CULTURAL DIVERSITY COMMISSION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the following named persons are hereby
appointed and reappointed as members of the respective
Boards and Commissions:
(a) ARTS AND HUMANITIES PROMOTION COMMISSION
Dr. Daniel Dillard, appointed to fill the unexpired
term of Claudia Stallings, said term expiring December
16, 1997.
(b) ARKANSAS MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND HISTORY BD OF TRUSTEES
Mr. Beadle Moore, appointed to serve a four term
expiring November 15, 1999.
(c) CENTRAL ARKANSAS LIBRARY SYSTEM BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Mr. Sherman Banks, reappointed to serve a three year
term expiring December 31, 1998.
Mr. J. Somers Matthews, reappointed to serve a three
year term expiring December 31, 1998.
(d) CITY BEAUTIFUL COMMISSION
Mr. James Goodhart, reappointed to serve a three year
term expiring October 19, 1998.
Mr. Frank Riggins, reappointed to serve a three year
term expiring October 19, 1998.
Ms. Pat Torvestad, appointed to serve a three year
term, replacing Joyce Raynor, said term expiring
October 19, 1998.

(e) COMMISSION ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Ms. Mary Parker, appointed to serve a five year term,
replacing Don Curdie, said term expiring November 1,
2000.
Ms. Sandra Hochstetter, appointed to fill the unexpired
term of Ms. Charlye Holmes, said term expiring November
1, 1996.
(f) EDUCATION COMMISSION
Reappointing the following individuals to a three year
term expiring November 1, 1998:
Mr. Thomas Green - Department /Human Services
Dr. Betty Hathaway - Early Childhood Education
Ms. Paula Patterson - L.R. Chamber of Commerce
(g) HOUSING HOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND APPEALS
Ms. Sharlett Craig, appointed to a four year term,
replacing Bob Bailey, said term expiring August 1,
1999.
(h) LITTLE ROCK PLANNING COMMISSION
Ms. Pam Adcock, reappointed to a three year term
expiring November 1, 1998.
Mr. Herb Hawn, appointed to a three year replacing Joe
Selz, said term expiring November 1, 1998.
Mr. Larry Lichty, appointed to a three year term
replacing H. Bradley Walker, said term expiring
November 1, 1998.
(i) RACIAL AND CULTURAL DIVERSITY COMMISSION
Ms. Joyce Raynor (At- large), appointed to fill the
unexpired term of David Jones, said term expiring
September 6, 1997.
Mr. Daniel Coker (Ward 6), appointed to fill the
unexpired term of Joa Humphrey, said term expiring
September 6, 1996.

SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
