RESOLUTION NO_ 9,493
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE HANDICAP RAMPS IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE AMERICANS WITH
DISABILITIES ACT, BY ORDINANCE NO. 16,894
(MAY 16, 1995), AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, two public hearings were held to receive input on
desired projects; and
WHEREAS, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires
the construction of handicap ramps during street resurfacing at
those intersections where sidewalks exist; and
WHEREAS, approximately 700 ramps throughout the City are
necessary for the 1995 resurfacing program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to approve the
list of street improvement projects utilizing surplus funds in
the amount of $350,000 appropriated by Ordinance No. 16,894 (May
16, 1995), to accomplish the 1995 Street Project description set
forth below:
1. Handicap Ramps $350,000
