RESOLUTION NO. 9,471
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE
WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK TO UTILIZE FEDERAL AID MONIES
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS
ALONG AND ADJACENT TO HINSON ROAD
FROM NAPA VALLEY TO BEAR TREE.

WHEREAS, Hinson Road, a major east /west arterial, was
constructed without sidewalks; and
WHEREAS, the increased amount of traffic along with the
need for sidewalks on Hinson Road has been identified due to
safety concerns for pedestrians; and
WHEREAS, the subject project has been approved for ISTEA
Federal funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City will participate in accordance with its
designated responsibilities in this project.
SECTION 2. The estimated cost of this project is $335,000.
The Federal cost is $268,000 and the City's match is $67,000
($20,000 sidewalk fund and $47,000 1996 Street Fund budget).
